Here’s a work in progress preview of a stop-motion video, which I plan on improving and expanding upon for my final.

FILM SCREEENSHOTZZ
We’ve gotten all our film digitized (finally), and now it’s time to move on to sound (aghh) and editing (yay). I’m pretty excited to start puttin’ this baby together.
“The Music Box”
and here’s the resulting piece. The assignment was to make a “gig poster” for The Dirty Projectors. I wanted to make a video, so I suppose this is more of a band promo? Essentially I just had a good time playing with tiny lightbulbs.

Here are some props/sets I made for a stop-motion/live action hybrid piece. I had a lot of fun making the room with all the tiny lightbulbs. You can turn on each individual light from above, which is why there’s a pile of batteries on top (it’s not actually a bomb).
Just came back from shooting the last of the film in Vermont! Now just to wait for the footage to come back from Cinelab, and keep our fingers crossed.

I made these funny little contraptions out of various toy parts. They make me endlessly happy.
Spent the weekend with Esther shooting our film in Vermont! Almost done with production now. We’ve shot 4 rolls and probably have another 200 feet more left to shoot, then onto post.
annnnd here’s the resulting piece. I projected video I took at the Brown greenhouse onto the walls. The whole thing is based upon a poem written Phoebe Neel, a Brown student. The poem explores the negative human impact on our environment through the metaphor of a child sleeping in bed.
